Frontline Church Planting

Birthing a movement of multiplying churches

“The real key to a church planting movement doesn’t lie in the individual church that is planted, but in the incubators that produce churches.”

Bob Roberts, Glocalnet Founder

Local Church Planting

We believe the best way to transform a society is through planting local expressions of the Church. Planting churches is a risk...always. Church planters are on the front lines of the battle to bring people to a transforming knowledge of Jesus. Frontline is dedicated to equipping & supporting planters on the journey of multiplying disciples & churches.

Acts 1:8

"You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

  • Introducing DWELL Online Learning Track

DWELL Online Learning Track will be launching this September. We are creating this response to the need to equip leaders who are not able to come to Colorado for our residency. This would be an asset to those currently planting churches, those living as missionaries seeking God’s call to plant a church or those heading into planting in the future.

Purpose: DWELL is a distance learning track for leaders and learners who have a current or future call to church planting. DWELL prepares leaders across the country through relational and formal learning while you are dwelling in the place God has you and learning through experience.

What: Each month DWELL covers 1 specific topic through 1 book, assigned video content on the dashboard, conversations with the director, online hangouts with the other participants and coaching.

    September: Unleashing Kingdom Disciples

    October: Healthy Habits for Leaders

November: Multiplication (Optional MULTIPLY Conference in Colorado Springs) December: Spiritual Formation

January: The Mission & Structures of the Church

    February: Living a Missional Posture

March: Dealing with conflict and failure

April: Aligning Vision Mission and Values

    May: Gathering and Scattering Strategy

How much: $100-$150 a month, $900-$1,350 a year (sliding scale based on need)

Coaching: Coaching happens over Skype or Ichat monthly for 1.5 hours. Coaches ask questions and challenge based on the content learners are processing and the life experiences shaping your month. These coaches are current or former church planters who have wrestled through these same topics.

How many: Learning pods are the groups you process the content and experiences with. Pods will not exceed 4 people.

  • The 2 modes of Frontline Church Planting

We live in a world that is decentralizing in many ways, but we will always come back to the need for centrality. If you have ever delved into books like The Starfish and the Spider you understand the balance between centralized organization and decentralized networks. We believe the healthiest understanding of equipping leaders for a movement in a region involves both modes happening in a city and a region…simultaneously.

Group 1: Some leaders are already trained and sent by a centralized body. These folks are looking for strategic relationships where they can learn best practices, understand the culture and be encouraged by like-hearted leaders.

Group 2: Some leaders seek specific equipping, in this case through Frontline. They are looking for content, and they will get to learn in the apprentice model of relational, experiential & formal learning.

Some folks will join in a combination of these two. Both areas are necessary, and we see both bearing much fruit. This is a diagram of how Frontline is structured in order to most effectively fulfill our mission to “equip the saints to multiply DISCIPLES > LEADERS > CHURCHES” so we may pray and work toward one day seeing a major movement of God in Colorado’s Front Range.

  • Connect with other missional leaders

God is up to some amazing things here on the Front Range, but a lot of missional leaders feel alone. When I sit down with folks they often ask, “How can I connect with other leaders who are like me?” We realize that connection can lead to relationship and relationship can lead to learning and experimentation. Connection >>> Relationship >>> Learning + Experimentation

With this realization Frontline provides occasional opportunities to connect and learn together. Here are a few events coming up where you can join us and bring a friend. Both of these are easy entry points to connect and learn from like-hearted leaders.

Verge Conference Simulcast & Pot luck. Fri March 1st 1:30-8:30 with dinner at 5:00. Briggs’ home 2046 Devon St, 80909

Gather to watch the Verge Conference together, eat dinner & apply this to our context. Come for part or all of this time. If you’re coming for dinner bring a side or dessert. RSVP to Alan(at)FrontlineChurchPlanting(dot)com by Thurs Feb 28th

Missional Communities Roundtable. Tues March 12th 10AM-Noon. 225 Cafe. 225 N Weber St

Every other month missional leaders gather in Colorado Springs to discuss a few questions: What are you trying? What fruit are you seeing? What road blocks are you experiencing? This is very informal and relational with the heart of gaining both unity & strategy for reaching the Front Range for Jesus. RSVP to Alan(at)FrontlineChurchPlanting(dot)com by Mon March 11th
